I'm on holiday now!
After waiting for more than 2 months I’m finally on my adventure holiday - off to a sailing trip around the Whitsunday Islands.
I’m sitting in Brisbane airport while writing this. I’ve been working out how to do things quickly and conveniently, in regards to blogging about my holiday and sharing photos that I take. I’m using my iPad instead of a laptop, so it’s...

Lessons to live by
ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.
THREE. Don’t believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.
FOUR. When you say, ‘I love you,’ mean it.
FIVE. When you say, ‘I’m sorry,’ look the person in...
How you see your reality is a mirror of your inner reality. What happens around...
– I’ve been pondering this for a number of years now. I find a lot of frustration in my world around me, and I’ve been thinking about what that means for my world within me.
For me to be frustrated and angry with events around me, that are outside of my control, there is obviously a lot...
There's this girl...
She’s at work, and I’ve found her quite attractive. Tonight, as I was about to leave work, she did something odd.
I was packing up my stuff, and I noticed she did too. As I started to walk out, she finished packing and ran a bit to catch up with me as I walked down the corridor, and we walked out together. We exchanged in a bit of small talk before parting ways.
Running to catch...

The Year America Dissolved →
It was 2017. Clans were governing America. Clans organized around families and individuals who possessed stocks of food, bullion, guns and ammunition.
The first clans organized around local police forces. The conservatives’ war on crime during the late 20th century and the Bush/Obama war on terror during the first decade of the 21st century had resulted in the police becoming militarized and...
Share your Tumblr blog with Facebook!
So I wanted to allow visitors to share any posts or videos or links or whatever with their friends, so I did a bit of research to work out how, and I think the best option is to share on Facebook, ‘cause pretty much EVERYONE is on Facebook. So here’s some instructions for you to do the same on your own blog.

Thank God!
Many people thank God for something good happening. I saw someone on Twitter thank God for vaporisers. It made me wonder… What about the MAN (or woman) that invented the vaporiser? Shouldn’t we thank them? If they were inspired by God to make a life-saving device, then sure, we can thank God. But what about the inspiration behind the invention of weapons of war? A device that kills...

Whitsunday Islands, here I come!
I’ve just finished organising a holiday for late October sailing around the Whitsunday Islands on this sailing boat (to the left). It’s going to be so exciting! It’ll be for 3 days and 3 nights. I’ll have my own room ‘cause I’m not interested in sharing a 4-bunk room with a bunch of strangers. Plus they might not appreciate my snoring….
I’ll be...

Comments on Tumblr
I didn’t even realise that no one could comment on posts I made on Tumblr… I’d just assumed that EVERYTHING these days allows comments. Well, I found out it was everything except Tumblr…
But have no fear! I found a solution. If you want to allow comments on your own Tumblr blog, then go here and follow the instructions:

The art of negotiation
So I went to the store yesterday to look for a home theatre system to go with the TV I bought just over a month ago. I found what I wanted, and went to find a sales assistant. I asked him what deal he could do for me on the $999 system. He told me that he couldn’t, or he’d get fired. I looked at him and asked if he was new, and he said no, he’s been here a long time.
“But...

Australia’s web-censors have outdone themselves. After Stephen Conroy (the Australian minister notorious for proposing the Great Firewall of Australia) promised greater transparency in his government’s efforts to regulate the Internet, they replied to a Freedom of Information request on plans to monitor Australians’ internet traffic with a document that was 90 percent blacked...

Media Deception →
Many people would rather not know about the major manipulations happening in our world. Believing that it is better to focus only on the positive, they choose to avoid looking into the shadows. Yet would you ignore a friend who was about to harm someone or commit suicide?
As long as we collectively choose ignorance over awareness, these manipulations will continue. In fact, they will likely grow...

OMG... No internet!!
After a couple years of very bad ‘quality of service’ from my internet provider, I decided to upgrade to Telstra, Australia’s main telecommunications provider, to bundle cable tv, phone and internet all in one, which is going to be cheaper than how I was doing it previously. And I’m hoping that the quality of service will be much better! So the phone was transferred over...

The war on photography →
Today, most people walk around with a camera of some sort in their possession. Point-and-shoots, DSLRs and tiny video cams—not to mention cellphones—have become ubiquitous. And yet it seems that in many public locations, security officials are touchier than ever about letting people actually use those cameras. Our guardians of public safety often have the idea that shooting pictures in...

Gurkha ordered back to UK after beheading dead... →
This is just ridiculous. A Gurkha beheads a Taliban commander so that he can be identified later, because they were under fire and the whole body could not be removed. As a result, the Taliban complain that the soldier’s actions were ‘inappropriate’ and the Gurkha was shipped back to the UK where he’s awaiting a court martial. How ludicrous!
